SUPERVISORY BUDGET ANALYST

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
The incumbent provides technical and administrative supervision to a unit of Budget Analysts, Budget Technicians, and Financial Technicians. The incumbent oversees the daily operation of the unit, ensures that agency policies and priorities are being followed. Supervision of financial systems data entry and for end-of-quarter and annual close-out procedures. Responsible for developing unit policies, procedures, work instructions and forms. Represents the budget function with internal and external auditors. Calculate overhead costs, based on information provided by SMEs and reconcile overhead cost to budgets, contracts, and agreements. Provide estimates of salary costs, prepares working documents, controls, and analyses to be used in reporting documents. Analyze performance to budget and provides routine and special reports for management and staff. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Specialized experience includes performing supervisory and managerial functions; analyzing financial and budgetary actions; and ensuring that revenues and expenditures are accounted for and ; administers the disbursement and reconciliation of funds; Develop internal budget models, policies and procedures; Provide estimates of salary costs, prepares working documents, controls, and analysis; Align internal budget categories with the current financial management systems; provide the full range of supervision for staff; and identify and provide for training needs finding ways to improve production or increase the quality of work. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
