Program Support Assistant

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement or upon receipt of the first 50 applicants which may occur sooner than the closing date. To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level or comparable pay band in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as that which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specifically, creditable specialized experience may have involved a range of duties such as:
(1) Processing/distributing incoming and outgoing mail; (2) Maintaining photocopy machines and performing minor repairs to copiers; (3) Maintaining a supply inventory within an office; and (4) Experience resolving problems associated with the administrative and technical work of an office. There is no provision for substitution of education for experience at grade GS-6. Note:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience you document, to include volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
