JOB DESCRIPTION/PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Job Title: HR Assistant (Employee Records) - Temporary Assignment (3 months)
Department: Human Resources
Summary: The HR assistant is responsible for coordinating filing project to include active and terminated files with an extreme level of confidentiality.
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (30 minute lunch break)
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, at least two years of receptionist or secretarial experience to include excellent computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, is a plus), excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle a large volume of duties at one time. Previous HR experience is strongly preferred. Degree of Supervision Received: Minimal to none
Degree of Supervision Given to Others: None
Physical/Mental/Special Demands: Sitting 65% and walking 35%, to include stooping and bending while working on files. Dealing with difficult customers at times.

Communications
Conducts self in a professional manner
Helps problem solve internal and external customer questions related to employee records
Professional appearance at all times.
Communicates to all customers (external/internal)
Place all paperwork to be filed in alpha order.
Prepares paperwork for filing according to departmental guidelines
Filing and maintaining HR/payroll/benefits information and/or material
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks. Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and written. Ideal candidate will be energetic and eager to work in a fast-paced environment. High School Diploma or equivelent also required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
