The ideal candidate is well versed in Life Safety Codes and Long Term care Regulations.
Maintenance Director Job Duties:
Perform daily, monthly and quarterly facility checks, logs, and inspections Provide daily supervision to the maintenance department; ensure the efficient and effective operational maintenance of the buildings and grounds through planning, scheduling and supervision of task Inspect, test and measure completed work to verify compliance with state/federal requirements and/or facility standards.
Evaluate work areas, examine tools and equipment and provide safety training to team members to prevent, detect and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and regulations.
? Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings; review findings with the Administrator and the Risk Manager.
Assist in the development of a facility-based and community-based hazards vulnerability assessment as part of emergency preparedness planning.
Provide facility access to state/federal inspectors and contractors as directed.
Must have a working knowledge of Long Term Care Life Safety Codes Develop, implement and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures annually and document the review.
